Serhiy Polyovyk
In today’s globalized world, there are no isolated regions and isolated topics in international relations that do not affect the world events. So far indirect, these so-called influences can later turn into real challenges for Ukraine as well

More >>Oleksiy Volovych Over the past 20 years, China has increased its economic presence in Africa, and this trend will continue in the future, as it is extremely attractive for both China itself and for many African countries. The predicted critical shortage of natural resources for China’s economy and the need to expand global demand for Chinese goods make Africa a strategic asset for economic cooperation and guarantees of economic security of the Celestial. In our view, China’s economic and military presence on the African continent has become so large-scaled that the USA’s possible attempts “to push it out” of Africa are clearly doomed to fail, or they can provoke a planetary…

On the other hand, Libya is currently the object of geopolitical interests of such influential states as the US, France, Italy, the KSA, the OAE, Qatar and Turkey, with which Russia cannot compete due to its limited financial resources. The…
More >>Oleksiy Volovych April 4, 2019 the Libyan National Army under the command of Marshal Khalifa Haftar launched an offensive against the capital of Tripoli. The declared by H. Hafthar aim of the attack was supposedly to “clean the Tripoli from islamists and terrorists”, although the true aim of this offensive is, in fact, to drive away the Government of National Accord (GNA) of Libya led by Kh. Haftar’s longtime opponent, Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj, supported by some western countries and the UN. Estimating the parties’ chances to win, it should be noted that the chances of the Commander of the LNA to win…

Besides, the Sudanese military disbanded the Cabinet and the Parliament of the country — the National Assembly, and also announced a three-month state of emergency to be followed by a two-year transitional period. Also, state Sudanese media reported that all political prisoners, including the leaders of the protests taking place in the country, were released from prison. This is the end of the thirtieth year of Omar al-Bashir’s staying in power…
More >>Sudan and the Interests of the United States, the PRC and the RF Oleksiy Volovych On April 11, 2019, a military coup took place in Sudan. The Command of Sudan’s Armed Forces arrested and removed from all posts the country’s President, Omar al-Bashir (75 years old), who came to power in 1989 after a military coup. Thus, O. al-Bashir, left his post in the same way as he came to it — as a result of a military coup. It is already the eighth military coup after the declaration of Sudan’s independence on January 1, 1956. All in all, between 1952…
