Russia and China Are Planning to Jointly Build a Station on the Moon
Space exploration is considered one of those domains where great powers try to achieve geopolitical advantages over their opponents. Space exploration has become a new level of geopolitical competition, so the recent successful landing of an American science module on Mars has posed a major challenge to other competing nations. What if the Americans manage to deliver samples of Martian soil from there?.. Obviously, there is no direct connection between the success of the US expedition to Mars and other countries’ plans for space exploration. However, it is this fact that is forcing the main US geopolitical competitors, namely China and Russia, to combine their efforts in research on a similar space program.
The achievements of the United States and its European partners in the study of the Moon, Mars, etc. make Russia get closer to China not only on the Earth but also in space. The confrontation between China and the United States contributes to Russia’s forced rapprochement with China. A situation where the interests of two such neighbors, i.e. Russia and China, coincide, in favor of the Chinese, because they understand the modest financial and scientific and technical capabilities of the Russians and in fact wait for the Russians to capitulate in technology and other industries. They will surrender first to China and then everywhere.
