Threats to Iran’s nuclear program
Behind the targeted attacks on Iran’s nuclear program is a staunch enemy who is hiding the best he can. Iran is forced to act because the absence of any reaction will mean the weakness of its position.
A technical gem of Iran’s nuclear program was destroyed in the recent blast at the Natanz nuclear facility. Due to the damage, in the medium term, the development and production of modern centrifuges in Iran may slow down. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has said the reason for the blast is known, but will not be made public for national security reasons.
Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency sees the incidents as “crossing red lines by enemies of the Islamic Republic, especially with the use of Zionist structures,” meaning Israel.
One week ago, the Israeli government stressed that Iran was constantly being monitored from space. This statement was made by Israel after the successful launch into Earth orbit of a new reconnaissance satellite Ofek-16. It monitors Iran’s nuclear program, of which Israel already seems to be well aware.
