Results of the US Secretary of State’s visit to Europe
Given the aggravation of the new US administration’s relations with China and Russia, political experts paid special attention to the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s recent visit to Brussels and his talks at the highest level. Especially with regard to the rigidity of the USA’s position on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and, accordingly, its relations with Russia, as one of the main importers of oil for the United States.
During his first visit to Europe, US Secretary of State clearly articulated his country’s policy on relations with major institutions in Europe and with Russia and China. It is important for Ukraine that the United States does not see the expediency of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, on completing of which Germany and some of its satellites insist.
