Victor Hvozd on Apostrophe TV

In Victor Hvozd’s conversation with Apostrophe’s journalist Roxana Runo, topics were raised known to our society thanks to numerous publications and speeches, including politicians’ on our and foreign TV. Since such publications or speeches, as a rule, do not always correspond to the real situation, what the commentator, journalist or political expert operates, cannot help arousing additional questions in the audience. Those questions being not answered creates distrust at best. Sometimes the facts are deliberately distorted for so-called political motives. And then the event itself recedes into the background, and its place is taken by “narratives”.

During his interview with Roxana Runo in the program “Total Breach of All Limits Light” V. Hvozd mentioned such “peculiarities” and tried to dot his i’s and cross his t’s, especially since the conversation of the former head of SZRU covered not only the period 2014–2020, i.e. the time of our military confrontation with neighboring Russia. Moscow has been encroaching on our statehood since the first days after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and for this purpose has constantly made efforts at different levels, and our counterintelligence and intelligence structures reported about this to the top leadership of Ukraine.

The Apostrophe’s guest also told about the details of the operation of our military intelligence, which took place long before the Revolution of Dignity, when the true efforts of the Russians against the Ukrainian state were already clear. For example, at that time Kyiv only theoretically was ruling Luhansk, Donetsk, or Crimea, while the entire Russian information war was largely waged against Ukraine, and the Security Service of Ukraine was under Russia’s “supervision” until 2014, so that it could influence any “topic”, despite the interests of Ukrainian statehood.

V. Hvozd also told about the legal field of activity of the Security Service of Ukraine and other special structures responsible for the security of our society. After all, the rule of law will not allow random and unprepared persons to get into their leadership, will guarantee that various special operations will not turn into scandals or even crimes for which sooner or later someone has to answer…

Victor Ivanovych also told about Russia’s preparations for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, for which thousands of Russian military units are stationed on our eastern border, about Moscow’s plans to change our chosen political path into the EU, and about our allies who actually help us in the difficult task of state formation.

Finally, he advised not to get carried away with the functions of our smartphones, because it is at least a tool not only for eavesdropping of your communication with friends or relatives, but also, for example, for measuring your blood pressure when you rest after work, next to your favorite “contact-device”…
