There are tendencies of national isolationism and economic selfishness in Germany
Die Welt, Germany
According to a recent survey by the German news weekly Die Welt, the German society will not support US President-elect J. Biden if there is a conflict between the United States and China. This was once again confirmed by the same survey of the authoritative polling agency Infratest dimap, the results of which published in the late 2020 in the Welt am Sonntag.
Although Germany remains a partner of the United States and NATO, there are tendencies of national isolationism and economic selfishness in the country. Leaders and political parties do not share such views of their electorate, as they must take into account the prospects for further interstate cooperation and the need to adhere to the conditions of coexistence. But the centrifugal forces led by Russia are interested in unpredictability of events and are trying to influence traditional values of the civilized world and destroy the foundations of democracy in the United States and Germany.
