Operational Situation on the Diplomatic Front, March 19, 2022, 10 AM

Information about the Russian invasion

For 24 days in a row, Ukraine has been fiercely resisting Russia’s armed aggression on all fronts, including diplomatic.
Russia’s global isolation is growing. Russia and Belarus have been deprived of membership in the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations since March 18.

☑️ Sanctions

🔺 The Swiss government 🇨🇭 has decided to join the fourth package of EU sanctions and ban the export of luxury goods to Russia.
🔺 The US Department of Commerce 🇺🇸 has banned the maintenance of 100 commercial and private airplanes used by Russia. The ban on aircraft maintenance provides for the actual cessation of international flights of these airplanes from Russia.
🔺 As a result of sanctions against Russia, about 11.5 million euros belonging to 26 legal entities and 2 individuals were frozen in Latvian banks.

☑️ Isolation of the Russian Federation

🔺 Italy 🇮🇹 has seized a complex of buildings worth about 105 million euros, owned by a Russian businessman.
🔺Lithuania 🇱🇹 has limited to 60 euros the amount of cash in euros that can be exported for personal use to Belarus and Russia.
🔺 Tech corporation LG Electronics suspends deliveries of its products to Russia.
🔺 Dahua, a Chinese manufacturer of professional equipment and electronics, is suspending all supplies to Russia.
🔺The Lithuanian Parliament has made alterations to the Law on Public Procurement, which prohibits the country’s public sector from buying Russian and Belarusian technologies.

☑️ Humanitarian aid

🔺 The Estonian Rescue Board 🇪🇪 has sent almost 128,000 euros in humanitarian aid to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast, including thermal protective clothing, drones with a thermal imaging camera, petrol engines, and respirators.
🔺 Canada 🇨🇦 has launched a temporary migration program for Ukrainians who have been forced to leave the country due to the Russian invasion. Under this program, Ukrainians and their immediate family members of any nationality can stay in Canada as temporary residents for up to 3 years.
🔺 The Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists donated 2 trucks with food to the Odessa region.
🔺 On March 18, Poland sent 24 ambulances and 2 fire engines to Ukraine.
