Over the next two weeks, Prime Minister of the UK Boris Johnson will begin economic talks with US President Donald Trump. In view of the subject of the negotiations, and given the completed procedure for the UK’s leaving the EU, the very fact of top-level negotiations between USA and UK leaders tends to be seen as a lever of pressure on the EU.
In turn, the UK and the EU are expected to start negotiations next month to regulate the interaction of their markets.
It is clear that the United Kingdom and the United States will coordinate policies on the European continent, aimed at both, meeting local tactical tasks, in particular in trade, and at achieving a global goal of geopolitical control in Europe.
