Round Table Talks “Strategic Priorities of Ukrainian Diplomacy in the Russian-Ukrainian War: Weapons above All Else”

 

 

On 29 June, “Strategic priorities of Ukrainian diplomacy in the Russian-Ukrainian war: weapons above all else” round table talks took place in the GDIP Media Сenter.

The event was organized by the Institute of Foreign Policy Studies in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions.

Experts from the “Borysfen Intel” Centre also took part in this event.

During the round table talks, following topics were discussed: military aid as a top priority of Ukrainian diplomacy, the evolution of Ukraine’s views on the need for armament and the formats of military aid to Ukraine during the second phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war, military support and the stances of the main contributors (Slovak Republic, The UK); and foreign military aid to ensure victory for Ukraine.

Volodymyr Ohryzko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (2007–2009), Andrii Zahorodniuk, Minister of Defense of Ukraine (2019–2020), head of the Centre for Defence Strategies, Valentyn Badrak, director of the Centre for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research, Matuš Korba, Deputy Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Ukraine, Oleh Zhdanov, military expert, and Mykola Sunhurovskyi, director of the Military Programs of the Razumkov centre, have all taken part in the discussion.

During the event, the experts discussed a wide range of issues and expressed their own thoughts on the problem raised.
