Germany and Infrastructure Policy in the Eastern Part of the EU

Interests of World Players. Part 2

Part 1

The German State Foundation of Science and Politics (Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik) together with the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (Deutsches Institut für Internationale Politik und Sicherheit) published in the first quarter of this year a joint study of Germany’s current European policy on European infrastructure. In particular, they studied the interests of such global players as the United States, China, Russia, EU member states and other non-EU countries.

The study itself was conducted before the coronavirus pandemic, when there were no changes in national psychology from unification-allied to national-protectionist ones. However, given the urgency of such problems, it is possible that after overcoming the pandemic, the EU and the world will carefully study this analysis.
