Stasi — the GDR’s “Ministry of Love”. Recruitment methods used in Stasi. Is anything like that in use today?
Marcus Johannes Wolf (1923–2006) — Chief of the Main Directorate “A” of the Ministry of State Security of the GDR (Foreign Intelligence) in 1958–1986. In the West he was called “the man without a face” because Western intelligence could not get a picture of him.
