A global pandemic threatens human health and life not only because of the lung disease. According to the new report of the Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP), there are many crises and conflicts in the world. Although there are some positive trends too.

According to the IEP report, during the pandemic, there are many reasons that provoke conflicts in the world. This is the main conclusion of the study of the annual Global Peace Index for the last year. By the way, over the last twelve years, the peace situation has deteriorated at least nine times…

In total, the Global Peace Index recorded over 5,000 COVID-19 related violent incidents worldwide between January 2020 and April 2021, with brutality multiplied by the pandemic factor. The most devastating, according to the IEP, is the situation in Belarus, Myanmar and Russia, where mass protests have been brutally suppressed, while Iceland has once again been recognized as the most peaceful country in the world, it has occupied this place since 2008. And although Europe remains the most peaceful region in the world, the report points out that political instability is growing here as well.
